(Order of the Court was made by M.Duraiswamy, J.) When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the learned Single Judge, by order dated 07.07.2022 in W.P(MD).No.13496 of 2022, quashed the order of the Sub Collector, Padmanabhapuram, Kanyakumari District, dated 25.04.2022 issued under Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961 finding that the notice was issued without any particulars. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that another learned Single Judge of this Court, by order dated 19.07.2022 in W.P.Nos.14681, 14684, 13984, 13977, 13979 & 14686 of 2022, also quashed the notice issued under Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961 in respect of the lands in other places.

Though the learned Single Judge, while disposing of the Writ Petition in W.P(MD).No.13496 of 2022 observed that it is always open to the respondents therein to initiate proceedings afresh in accordance with law, so far, they have not initiated any action. Further, it is informed to this Court that the appellant in the above Original Side Appeals has also filed an impleadment petition before the learned Single Judge and the same is pending.

2.Taking into consideration all these aspects, it is clear that as of today, the appellant has no locus standi to stall the proceedings for the reason that they are not even made as a defendant in the suit. In such view of the matter, the interim stay granted by this Court on 25.05.2022 is liable to be vacated. Accordingly, the interim order of stay granted on 25.05.2022 is vacated.
