PRAYER: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2023, and consequently issue transfer of electricity connection No.246 257 758, Meter No.4051433 constructed in Survey No.49/4, Bharathi Nagar Village, Zameen Pallavaram which is now standing in the name of Mohamed into the petitioner's name. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, the learned Standing Counsel for TNEB takes notice for the respondents.

3.The petitioner has approached the 4th respondent for transfer of his electric consumer connection vide his application dated 20.03.2023, and the same remains unmoved on its table ever since. Now, he seeks a direction to the respondents to deal with his application / representation expeditiously. 2/4

4.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

5.This Court directs the respondents to take a call on the application / representation of the petitioner, dated 20.03.2023, within a period of four (4) weeks from today.
