ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.B. Giridhara Rao, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that the First Respondent, viz., A.T. Sudharshanam had expired after filing of the Writ Petition, but the details of his legal representatives are not available now to substitute them to continue the proceedings. In the aforesaid circumstances, the Writ Petition has abated. However, it is made clear that as and when the particulars of the legal representatives of the deceased First Respondent are made available to the Petitioner, it shall be open to the Petitioner to revive the Writ Petition by appropriate application. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

It is further represented that the entire award amount under the impugned order has been deposited before the II Additional Labour Court, Chennai and the First Respondent was permitted to withdraw 50% of the award amount and the balance amount has been invested in Fixed Deposit with a Nationalised Bank as already ordered by this Court. The amount invested in fixed deposit shall not be disbursed to any of the parties without the prior permission of this Court.

The Writ Petition stands disposed on the aforesaid terms. No costs.
