ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the Principal District Judge, Salem - cum - Special Judge under SC and ST(Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Salem to consider the bail application of the 1 / 3

petitioners on their surrender in connection with the case in Crime No.249 of 2025, pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Deevattipatti Police Station, Salem District, on the same day.

2. This Court is not inclined to entertain this petition, since already Section 18-A of the ST and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, is available to show that under said Act, the victim is also to be heard. If at all the petitioners approach the Court below either for bail or by filing any other petition, unless opportunity is given to the victim, no Court shall pass any order including the High Court.

3. Therefore, in the above circumstances, this petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioners to approach the trial Court for appropriate remedy. 09.06.2025 cs To
