Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2014 and in terms of the Letter No.Estt[R] 23634/2013 F, dated 10.04.2014 of Dy CAO/Estt, for promotion to the higher post of Chief Accounts Officer in the pay scale of Rs.20,600 - 46,500 and pass necessary orders.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the first respondent to consider his representation regarding promotion to the post of Chief Accounts Officer. 2.It is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that during the pendancy of this writ petition, the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and that he has approached the respondent Authorities for notional benefits.

nothing remains to be done in this writ petition, except directing the respondents to consider the subsequent representation, if any, made by the petitioner. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
