This petition is filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in respect of Cr.No.206 of 2023 on the file of Polur Police Station, Thiruvannamalai District, pending investigation.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is falsely implicated in Cr.No.206 of 2023 registered for the offences under Section 4 (1) (aa) read with Section 4 (1-A) ii of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 10.06.2023. Thus, he prays for bail.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that petitioner was found in illegal possession of 60 liters of illicit liquor on 10.06.2023 at about 9.30 a.m. near the house of Pachiappan/petitioner in Thambukottanparai village. He has seventeen similar cases pending against him. Out of which eight cases had been disposed and nine cases are pending.

Crl.OP.No.14934 of 2023 and the fact that petitioner has nine similar cases pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
