Krishnan Ramasamy,J., This Application is filed to extend the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for further period of six months so as to enable the learned Arbitrator to pass award.

On an earlier occasion i.e., on 09.07.2024, this Court ordered notice to the respondents and also issued a direction to the learned counsel for the applicant to serve notice on the learned counsel, who appeared on behalf of the respondent before the Arbitral Tribunal. On perusal of the Affidavit of Service filed by the applicant, it is seen that the notice sent to the respondent has returned with an endorsement as 'left' and the notice served on the learned counsel, who appeared on behalf of the respondents before the Arbitral Tribunal has been delivered. However, when the application is taken up, none appeared on behalf of the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that, the arbitral proceedings is in the stage of filing of final written submissions, hence, he 1/3

requested this Court to extend the mandate of arbitrator for further period of 6 months.

4. This Court, upon hearing the learned counsel for the applicant and having satisfied with the reasons stated in the supporting affidavit of this application, is inclined to extend the Mandate of the Arbitrator by another period of six months.

5. Accordingly, this application is ordered. Consequently, the Mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a further period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order by the learned Arbitrator from the Registry.
