PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2019 and to direct the respondent to grant police protection for conducting the Mangalya Pooja Temple Festival to be held on 10.07.2019 in A/M Mariamman Temple, Machampalayam, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection to conduct temple festival to be held on 10.07.2019 at A/M Mariamman Temple, Machampalayam, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore.

It is seen from records that the Assistant Commissioner of HR & CE, Coimbatore has already sanctioned the conducting of the festival and has designated certain officers for that purpose. The petitioner is the Hereditary Trustee of the Temple. In order to ensure the peaceful conduct of the festival, the present petition has been filed seeking for police protection.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to give adequate police protection for the festival to be conducted on 10.07.2019 at A/M Mariamman Temple, Machampalayam, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore.
