ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. It is seen that there is a property dispute with one Velu and it is a purely civil dispute between the petitioner and Velu. Under the guise of enquiry, the respondent police called and forced the petitioner to appear for enquiry before the respondent police.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police on instructions submitted that one Velu lodged a complaint and based on that complaint, CSR No.264 of 2026 was assigned on 16.05.2026. It is further submitted that the petitioner was called only for enquiry and was not harassed.

4.Considering that the dispute is civil in nature and that the petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 73 years, the respondent police is directed not to summon him without any material. If his presence is absolutely necessary, the respondent police shall summon the petitioner. The enquiry in CSR No.150 of 2026 will be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
