A.GOPINATH, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.670 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 1.4 kgs of Ganja and the same was seized by the respondent police. Hence, the respondent police registered a case against the petitioner and other accused persons.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the co-accused was enlarged on bail. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.4 kgs. of Ganja and there are fourteen https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

previous cases of similar nature pending against the petitioner. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstance of this case and the fact that there are fourteen previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
