The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 04.03.2019 which was given for disbursing the petitioner terminal benefits at earliest. 2.Heard the arguments advanced on either side. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Assistant in the Salem Corporation on 08.02.1991 and retired from service on 31.03.2018 on attaining the age of superannuation, but the terminal benefits were not settled. The petitioner in this regard made representation on 21.02.2019 to the respondents, however, the same has not yet been considered. Hence, this petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that during the pendancy of this writ petition, a sum of Rs.3,69,920/- was disbursed in favour of the petitioner, however, the balance amount has not yet been settled. Hence, this Court may issue suitable direction to the respondents. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the respondents to settle the balance amount due to the petitioner, in favour of the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
