O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file charge sheet in Crime No.78 of 2014, pending investigation on the file of the 2nd respondent.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the investigation in Crime No.78 of 2014 has been completed by the 2nd respondent and final report has been filed referring the case as mistake of fact in R.C.S.No.857 of 2020 before the XIth Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, on 16.12.2020. would submit that due notice has been served from the Court to the petitioner seeking to file objection if there is any. He would submit that if the petitioner has got any grievance, he has to approach the concerned Court as per law by filing protest petition against the final order.

3. The Counsel for the petitioner would submit that a shoddy investigation has been done by the respondent in a lackadaisical manner to the detriment of the petitioner.

4. Now it is reported that the investigation has been completed and the final report is filed. The petitioner is at liberty to initiate proceedings in accordance with law.

5. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the investigation in Crime No.78 of 2014 has been completed and final report has been filed referring the case as mistake of fact in R.C.S.No.857 of 2020 before the XIth Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, on 16.12.2020, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
