No.764 of 2026, dated 27.03.2026, on the file of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, at Puducherry, which imposed the condition that the petitioner shall be directed to Rs.40,00,000/- to the De-facto complainant in two instalments on or before 02.04.2026 and 04.05.2026, and pass such other orders. ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry, vide order dated 27.03.2026 passed in Cr.M.P. No. 764 of 2026, directing the
petitioner to pay a sum of Rs. 40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs Only) to the defacto complainant in two installments on or before 02.04.2026 and 04.05.2026. 2.
The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that out of the total amount of Rs. 40,00,000/-, the petitioner has paid a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) and seeks an extension of time until August 2026 to pay the remaining balance amount.

The learned Counsel appearing for the intervenor raises no serious objection to the grant of an extension of time. 4.
Considering the submissions made on either side, the condition imposed in 6(i) of the order dated 27.03.2026 in Cr.M.P. No.764 of 2026, is modified as follows:
"the petitioner is directed to pay the remaining balance amount of Rs.37,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Seven Lakhs Only) to the defacto complainant on or before 31.08.2026, failing which the intervenor can move to cancel the bail application before the Court concerned"
