This application has been filed by the petitioner to implead the Commissioner, Commissionerate of Survey and Settlement, Survey House at Chennai, the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records, Chennai and the Tahsildar, Alandur as further respondents.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of this petition, it had been stated that the first respondent in the writ petition/the Member Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, had filed a counter claiming that the first respondent has no power to re-classify the land, as Second Master Plan was prepared based on the block maps issued by the Revenue Department. It is under those circumstances, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking to implead the concerned officials from the Survey and Settlement Department as further respondents in the writ petition.

3.Taking all factors into consideration, this petition stands allowed. Registry to carry out the necessary amendment in the cause title to the writ petition and the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition in impleading the 1/3

proposed respondents as shown in W.M.P.No.19810 of 2024 as further respondents in the writ petition.
