The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.12.2023 for the offences registered under Section 5(1) r/w. Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 in Crime No.39 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

It is stated that the petitioner is the sister's husband of the victim child. Consequent to the relationship which the petitioner had with the victim child, she became pregnant. It is also stated that investigation has been completed and final report has been filed.

It is stated that as on date only four witnesses have to be examined namely the Doctor, Child Welfare Officer and the Investigating Officers. 4.
Let that process be completed. A direction is given to the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Dharmapuri to complete the trial and pronounce judgment in Special S.C.No.22 of 2024 on or before 09.08.2024.
