O R D E R
The Criminal Original Petition has been laid by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Poonamallee to dispose of the CMP No.2445/2020 in Crime No.31/2020 on the file of the first respondent police, expeditiously.
2. The above CMP has been preferred by the petitioner seeking for the custody of the victim girl to him on conditions as may be fixed by the court below.
3. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, in the interest of justice, in my considered opinion, a suitable direction to the court below for the disposal of the abovesaid CMP would suffice and the petitioner counsel also submitted that it would suffice if the direction is given to the court below for disposal of the abovesaid CMP within a specific time frame.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Poonamallee, is directed to dispose of the CMP No.2445/2020 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in accordance with law and also after considering the entitlement of the petitioner to seek the custody of the victim girl.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
