ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner claiming to be the sister of victim girl Soma Pandit, who was detained in the Government Home for Women, Mylapore, Chennai in Crime No.9 of 2021 for an offence under Section 3(2)(a),4(1), 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

2. The petitioner's sister is confined in the home from 03.09.2020.

The petitioner had filed petition in Crl.M.P.No.815 of 2021 seeking custody of her sister. The lower court kept the Crl.M.P.No.8159 of 2021 pending before passing any orders, despite the petitioner producing the proof and also satisfying the requirements. Thereafter, awaiting the P.O. order, the case is kept pending. Her sister is suffering in the home. Hence, she filed this petition.

3. Considering the submissions and on perusal of materials, this Court directs the IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai to dispose the Crl.M.P.No.8159 of 2021 within the stipulated time without delay in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
