Respondent PRAYER:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to impugned Jewel Loan Auction Notice dated 21.06.2014 issued by the respondentBank, published in 'Dhinamani' Newspaper on 22.06.2014 and quash the same in so far as the petitioner's pledged articles in Item Nos.15 and 16 of the abovementioned impugned Notice is concerned, and consequently direct the respondent-Bank to permit the petitioner to redeem his pledged gold articles in (i) Jewel Loan Account No.6053725750 dated 30.07.2012 and (ii) Jewel Loan Account No. 6054035618 dated 31.07.2012 after making payment of the entire outstanding amount.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to set aside the Jewel Loan Auction Notice dated 21.06.2014 issued by the respondent-Bank published in 'Dhinamani' Newspaper on 22.06.2014.

2. The Auction Notice was published in the year 2014 and no interim order was granted and the Auction Notice was proceeded with, but now more than six years have lapsed. Therefore, the cause raised lost its significance on account of efflux of time. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondentBank, if any grievance exits for settlement of other issues.

3. With the abovesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
