ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to complete the investigation in the Crime No.130 of 2025 dated 18.04.2025 and to file Final Report before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as her father was missing from 17.04.2025, she gave complaint to the second respondent police on 18.04.2025 and on the basis of the same, a First Information Report has been registered in Crime No.130 of 2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case has been registered, there is no further progress in the investigation and hence, prays for a direction to the second respondent to file the final report within the time fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that steps are being taken and newspaper publication has also been given and the investigation is in progress.

4. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side], the second respondent is directed to conduct investigation and file final report expeditiously.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
