This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, the respondents to grant 10 days emergency leave without escort to the petitioner's husband namely Saravanan, S/o.Ezhumalai, aged 47 years, Convict No.5982, Convict Prisoner, Puzhal, Chennai.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the father in law of the petitioner is having lungs and heart problem and he is seriously ill and in critical stage. His father is also counting his last days and he wants to see his son and his presence for some days. Accordingly, a representation dated 27.06.2024 was made to the respondents to grant 10 days emergency leave, which is yet to be considered. Hence the present writ petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the

respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2024 would be considered by them expeditiously. 4.In the light of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.06.2024 and pass orders within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
