ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide adequate police protection to the Petitioner property situated at No.2, 5th Cross Street, Shakthi Nagar, Saram, Puducherry on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2026.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the property situated at No.2, 5th cross street, Shakthi Nagar, Saram, Puducherry was allotted to petitioner's late father Patchiyappan, vide LGR No.846/1983 measuring an extent of 00.00.50HACa (i.e. 538 sq.ft). It is further stated that before her demise, the petitioner's mother executed an unregistered partition deed dated 15.12.1998, whereby separate portions of the property allotted under the Government Scheme (LGR No.846/83) were distributed, allocating the front portion (B schedule property) to the petitioner and the back portion (A schedule) to her elder brother. Thereafter, when the petitioner decided to alter

the house of her portion, respondents 3 to 6 interfered. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3.Mr.M.V.Ramachandramurthy, the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2026 will be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with the law.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor, this Court, without going into the merits of the property dispute, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2026. The second respondent shall conduct an inquiry after giving due notice to the petitioner as well as private respondents 3 to 6, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with the law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any law and order problem arises in the meantime, the police shall take necessary action to maintain peace. 5.With the above directions, this petition is disposed of. 29-05-2026 EP
