Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 5 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.05.2024 within the stipulated time framed by this Court and consequently direct the fifth respondent to appoint the petitioner as UDC in any suitable post as his qualification.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents 2 to 5 to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 06.05.2024 seeking for appointment to the post of UDC in any suitable post as his qualification.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for the respondents 2 to 5 submitted that though the petitioner was already selected, subsequently his candidature itself was cancelled for the reason that the Boarder Security Force falls under Ex-servicemen category. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner was already rejected by an order dated 29.02.2024. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
