ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to submit the handwriting for forensic opinion in the pending disposal of C.C.No.10097 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate for CCB & CBCID Cases, Egmore, Chennai, within time stipulated by this Court. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

A perusal of the records reveals that the petitioner already filed a petition to protest against the final report in Crl.M.P.No.123 of 2018, in which, by an order dated 25.10.2018, the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for CCB & CBCID Cases, Egmore, Allikulam, Chennai, allowed the petition and directed the Investigating Officer to enquire into the matter and file final report within the period of one month.

4. However, the respondent filed a status report stated that due to COVID-19 Pandemic situation, the entire process of investigation is delayed and now only taking steps to get hand writing expert opinion on the settlement deed registered vide document No.2933 of 1962 along with the admitted document.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to get hand writing expert opinion on the Settlement Deed registered vide document No.2933 of 1962 along with the admitted document for comparing the signature and file before the Trial Court within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
