ORDER

This Criminal original petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent police to return back the vehicle belonging to the petitioner based on the representation dated 20.06.2023.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the inspector of police on suspicion, intercepted the vehicle and the same was seized and kept in the 2nd respondent police station. It was further submitted that the concerned police officer was transferred and as a result, not even an FIR has been registered till date.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the vehicle that was seized from the petitioner cannot be kept in the police station even without 2\4

registering an FIR. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to immediately handover the vehicle to the petitioner.

This Criminal original petition is disposed of with the above directions.
