O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed to consider the petitioner representation dated 20.03.2024 by directing the respondent to act upon the complaints given by the petitioner and to clear the broken and damaged drainage outlet pipes.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the first respondent and the learned counsel for the respondents 2 and 3 and perused the materials available on record.
3. Pursuant to the orders of this Court dated 21.04.2025, the respondents 2 and 2/6
3 filed the status report, in which it is stated that the inspection was conducted at the premises located at No.8/1, Nattu Muthu Kumarappan Street, Mylapore and the premises situated in a common lane approximately 60 feet from the Greater Chennai Corporation road (Nattu Muthu Kumarappan Street) and in the common lane two houses are located, at present these two houses are using a common /single sewer connection which is in the common lane. It is submitted that the separate sewerage connection was applied by the consumer residing in the above said location and the connection was provided up to the terminal chamber. The consumer is required to construct separate house sewerage pipeline and chambers in this common lane, as it is a private lane. It is further submitted that the respondents provided the separate sewer connection upto the terminal chamber of the common lane, as per the directions of this Court. The aforesaid status report dated 21.04.2025 is taken up on record.
4. In view of the aforesaid factual position, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. Hence, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. 3/6
