Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 30.12.2013 forwarded by the 1st respondent and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to rectify the error in the patta in the name of the petitioner vide Patta No.5396/2003 and issue the same within the time frame as directed by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had purchased the property admeasuring an extent of 1825 sq.ft comrpised in S.F.No.1231/5A2 lying at Madhavaram Village, No.34, Ponniamman Medu, Thanikachalam Nagar, from Mrs.A.Ayesha Beevi, on 10.11.1997. After the purchase of the above said property, the petitioner applied for patta and also obtained the same. However, it is alleged by the petitioner that the patta which was provided for possessory value does not provide the entire extent as purchased by him and further to an extent of about 200 sq.ft was reduced in the total extent of 1825 sq.ft area of land. Hence, the petitioner made representation to the respondents 1 to 3 on several occasion for rectifying the wrong calculation in measurement of land with a reduced area of 200 sq.ft in a total extent of about 1825 sq.ft, however the same were not considered and there is no proper reply till date. Hence the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents has no serious objections for the said order being passed.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2013, which was forwarded to the 1st respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
