Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take appropriate disciplinary action against the respondents 2 to 10 based on the petitioner's representations dated 15.10.2012 and 25.03.2013.

ORDER

The petitioner prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take appropriate disciplinary action against the respondents 2 to 10 based on his representations dated 15.10.2012 and 25.03.2013 respectively. 2.

The writ petition was admitted on 03.06.2013 and Rule Nisi was issued.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner died on 20.10.2015 and has also produced the Death Extract issued by Tiruchirappalli Municipal Corporation bearing Registration No2198/2015/GH dated 02.11.2015 and would submit that since the Legal Representatives of the deceased petitioner did not approach him, he is not in a position to file a petition for substitution and prays for closure of this writ petition.

Heard Mrs.R.Varalakshmi, learned Standing counsel appearing for the Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation and Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 11th respondent and perused the materials placed before it including the Death Extract dated 02.11.2015.

Since no steps have been taken to substitute the writ petitioner with LRs, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
