By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to sub divide the properties situated in Akkamanahalli Village, Patta No.59, comprised in Survey No.133/3 measuring an extent of 0.65 1/2 cents, Survey No.134/1 measuring an extent of 0.47 cents, Survey No.134/4 sub-divided as 134/4A measuring an extent of 0.08 1/2 cents totally measuring an extent of 1.21 acre and 1/3 share in the Well comprised in Survey No.134/2 and issue separate patta in petitioner's name based on sale deed dated 03.03.2025 registered as Document No.1254/2025 on the file of the Joint-I Sub Registrar, Dharmapuri by considering the Online Application 2/6
No.2025/0103/05/298856 and 2025/0105/05/332828 dated 03.03.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the subject property through a registered sale deed in Document No.1254/2005 dated 03.03.2025 on the file of the Joint-I Sub Registrar, Dharmapuri. After the registration of sale deed, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 03.03.2025 seeking sub division of patta and transfer of patta in his name for the above mentioned property. The Joint-II Sub-Registrar, Dharmapuri forwarded the patta transfer application filed by the petitioner to respondents 2 and 3. However, petitioner's application was not considered by the respondents 2 and 3 till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that the application dated 03.03.2025, made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 and 3, to consider the application dated 03.03.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the application and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the application on its own merits and in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
