Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that after filing of this writ petition, the petitioner had retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.

2.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
