This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to issue certain documents to the petitioner.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 07.07.2023, this Court directed the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to take instructions and to file a status report. Accordingly, the matter was posted for hearing today.

3. The respondent has filed a status report and the relevant portion in the status report are extracted hereunder:

"3. I submit that based on the above complaint and FIR, the Respondent Police taken up the Complaint for enquiry. In order to find out the unknown women driver, who caused the said accident to the Petitioner, special Force has been formed and set in force. Thereafter, the special Force found the unknown women driver is SAPNA NIHHAWAN, Female, Age 34 Years, D/o.Inderajeth. The Special Force went and investigated in Chennai, Chetpet and Bangalore Address of her. It is found in investigation that the said women in view of her avocation changed her residence to another State. In view of the said reason delay occurred in finding the accused.

4. I state that after serious search and effort of the special finally found the accused Women driver arrested on 12.07.2023 and thereafter released on Station Bail. Further, the accused accident caused car i.e., Hundai Verna car bearing registration KA 01 MS 3750 - Red Color has been sent to the Vehicle Inspector, Ayanavaram, Chennai for the inspection. Thereafter, investigation completed shortly final report will be filed before concern Jurisdiction Court. Further, the said details and the related 2/4

documents to the case has been duly uploaded in the official website CCTNS and the same is annexed herewith for better perusal of this Hon'ble Court."

In view of the above, the relief sought for by the petitioner has been granted and in fact, learned Additional Public Prosecutor also handed over copies of the documents that were sought for by the petitioner to learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner.
