Arumbuselvi Aged 40 Yrs v. The Inspector Of Police
Crl MP.No.9151 of 2016 in Crl.OP.No.16512 of 2016 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] for the respondent.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that this Court, while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioners, has imposed a condition that each of the petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- with two sureties to the satisfaction of the Magistrate concerned. He would further submit that the petitioners are ladies and they belong to economically weaker section and they are not able to afford the sureties and execute bond for Rs.10,000/- each. Hence he prayed for modification of the bond amount from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.5,000/-.
3. Considering the above said submission and taking note of the fact that the petitioners belong to weaker section of society, this Court is inclined to modify the above said condition.
4. Accordingly the earlier condition that each of the petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- with two sureties is modified to the effect that each of the petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.5,000/- with two sureties like sum to the satisfaction of the Magistrate concerned.
5. This miscellaneous petition is ordered accordingly.
