This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta to the
petitioner for the lands comprised in Nadukuppam, Pudurnadu Village, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District, to an extent of 1.50 acres.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is in possession and enjoyment of the property of an extent of 1.50 acres situated at Nadukuppam, Pudurnadu Village, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District. Therefore, he made a representation to the respondents for issuance of patta.
3. On a perusal of the representation dated 02.04.2014 and also affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, the petitioner did not even state any survey number of the subject property in which he is in possession and enjoyment. That apart, the petitioner made the said representation dated 02.04.2014 for issuance of patta. After a period of seven years, this Court cannot direct the respondents to consider the same, since the said representation may not be available with records of the respondents. However, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation with full details of the land before the authority concerned. On receipt of the same, the authority concerned is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation on merits and in accordance with law.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
