This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to cancel Document No.983 of 2000 dated 17.05.2000 on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Periamet, Chennai, in the subject matter of the property at No.1, Old No.10A, Parthasarathy Naidu Street, Pulianthope, Chennai 600 012 after giving the parties notice and also giving personal hearing as claimed in the representation dated 24.08.2017. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to cancel Document No.983 of 2000 dated 17.05.2000 on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Periamet, Chennai, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, may grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent civil Court for appropriate remedy.
