Today, when the matter had been listed under the caption `For Orders', there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to appoint the petitioner to the non interview posts, for the Combined Subordinate Services 2009-2011, under the Most Backward category.

3. It has been stated that the notification had been issued for selecting the candidates, for appointment by direct recruitment, to the posts, included in the Combined Subordinate Services Examination-I, 2009-2011.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents had submitted that the examination for the posts in the Combined Subordinate

Services had been completed during the year, 2011, itself and therefore, nothing survives in the present Writ Petition.

5. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the relief prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted, at this stage, as nothing survives in the present Writ Petition. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
