ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner in the guise of enquiry based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 24.06.2019.

2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the Inspector of Police is present before this Court. The Inspector of Police has also tendered an unconditional apology and has undertaken before this Court that this mistake will not be committed again.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ the petitioner is arrayed as accused (A5) in Crime No.108 of 2019 and the investigation is pending before the 2nd respondent,

the Inspector of Police, Muththandikkuppam Police Station, Cuddalore.

5. Under such circumstances, once the regular FIR has been registered, the question of "Not to harass" will not arise. Any direction issued by this Court at this stage will amount to interfering with the investigation conducted by the respondent police.
