Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent/the Tahsildar, Mettupalayam to conduct survey on the petitioner land to an extent of 1.24 acre situated at Survey No.480, Jadaiyampalayam Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District and to identify the boundaries based on the online challan number No.20231107003128 dated 07.11.2023 and the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023 with the assistance of the 4th respondent/the Inspector of Police, Sirumugai. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the third respondent to survey and fix the boundaries of the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.480 measuring an extent of 1.24 acre, situated at Jadaiyampalayam Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, by considering the petitioner's online E-Challan No.20231107003128 dated 07.11.2023. 2/6

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the fourth respondent and perused the materials available on record.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he has paid the requisite fees to survey the property and demarcate its boundaries in Survey No.480 situated at Jadaiyampalayam Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District. However, the same has not been considered by the third respondent. Hence, he seeks a direction.

Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's online E-Challan No.20231107003128 dated 07.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders, for survey of the property and demarcate its boundaries, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
