Prayer: This Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent herein for committing the contempt of the order of this Court dated 01.02.2024 passed in W.P.No.33256 of 2023. ORDER

The Writ Court, vide order dated 01.02.2024 disposed of the Writ Petition filed by the petitioner herein directing the respondents therein to compute the 1 / 3

compensation under the New Act, against which, the respondents filed Writ Appeal in W.A.No.SR133248 of 2025 with delay and the Division Bench of this Court dismissed the same observing the inordinate delay in preferring the said appeal. Aggrieved against the same, the respondents preferred an SLP before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. The Hon'ble Supreme Court, while granting an interim order dated 13.03.2026, directed the respondents to pay the undisputed compensation amount as per the Award and further the contempt proceedings also got stayed. Today, when the matter is called for hearing the learned Additional Advocate General submitted that as ordered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the amount has been tendered and received by the petitioner. In view of the above circumstances, this Contempt Petition shall stand closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to re-open the contempt petition, depends upon the outcome of the SLP filed by the respondents in the Writ Petition. 24.04.2026 cgi 2 / 3
