The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the 1st respondent not to effect new service connection to the 2nd respondent at the petition schedule premises without adhering to the rules stipulated in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that while the rent control proceedings pending before the Rent Control Authority, the 2nd respondent herein had approached this Court and obtained orders directing the 1st respondent to consider his application and pass orders. for the petitioner further submitted that the said proceedings were completed and the petitioner has taken possession of the property, therefore nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition and the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.
3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
