Respondents Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to levy tax on vacant land bearing Plot No.30 and 31, T.K.R.Nagar, Panruti, Cuddalore District and consequently regularise the same in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Regularisation and Unapproved Layouts and Plot Rules 2017 based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2019.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 04.10.2019 and to fix the regularisation charges under the relevant regulations, within the time limit fixed by this Court.

2.Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent has issued a demand notice dated 10.12.2020 to the petitioner by directing the petitioner to pay the necessary charges. A copy of the demand notice was also circulated through email. The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that immediately on payment of the amount demanded, through the demand notice issued by the 3rd respondent, the process of regularisation will be completed.

3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the statement of the learned Special Government Pleader and also taking into consideration the demand notice issued by the 3rd respondent, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to pay the amount demanded, through the demand notice dated 10.12.2020 and thereafter, submit a representation to the 3rd respondent along with the receipt for the payment of the charges and the 3rd respondent is thereafter directed to complete the process of regularisation, immediately.

4.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
