ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner/accused to quash the FIR registered against him in Crime No.1756 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC dated 30.09.2021 pending on the file of first respondent police.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent police and also perused the materials available on record.
3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.
4. It is seen that the FIR has been registered in the year 2021 and so far, the respondent police have not filed the final report. After four years, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking to quash the FIR.
5. A reading of the FIR shows that there are prima facie allegations against the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this 2/5
petition.
6. The respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within period of one month from today.
7. Further, the Superintendent of Police, Mayiladuthurai is directed to take action against the Investigating Officers who were all holding the post from the year 30.09.2021 to till date and file a action take report before this Court on or before 30.07.2025.
8. With the above directions this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
