PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents 1 and 2 police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and property situated in Survey No. 124/1, Pandiyanallur Village, Walaja Taluk, Presently Sholinghur Taluk, Vellore District presently Ranipet District to an extent of 53 cents by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2024.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking police protection from the respondents 1 & 2 at the hands of the respondents 3 to 6 for the protection of the petitioner's life and property, which is comprised in Survey No. 124/1, admeasuring 53 cents situated at Pandiyanallur Village, Walaja Taluk, Presently Sholinghur Taluk, Vellore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned property comprised in Survey No. 124/1, admeasuring 53 cents situated at Pandiyanallur Village, Walaja Taluk, Presently Sholinghur Taluk, Vellore District. While being in possession of the property, the respondents 3 to 6 attempted to interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property. Therefore,

the petitioner lodged a complaint seeking police protection due to the interference by private parties. While enjoying the property in a peaceful manner, the petitioner ought to have approached the Civil Court for their relief.

4. In view of the above, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief. No costs.
