Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to appoint the petitioner in the suitable post on compassionate ground based on his application dated 12.12.2017.

O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner in this Writ Petition is that though he has made an application to the second respondent dates back on 12.12.2017, seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, on account of the death of his father on 01.01.2015, in harness, but no decision on the same having been taken till date, he has come forward to file this Writ Petition, seeking for a direction to the second respondent to appoint the petitioner in a suitable post on compassionate ground based on his application dated 12.12.2017.

3. Heard, Mr.S.Kumara Devan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, who submits to direct the respondent to take a decision on his application within a stipulated period.

4. Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate appears for the respondents. The learned counsel for the respondents submits if such an application is pending, decision in accordance with law shall be taken by the second respondent within the period to be stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the limited nature of relief sought for, this Court dispose of the Writ Petition, with a direction to the second respondent to take an informed and considered decision on the application of the petitioner dated 12.12.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, if there is no other legal impediment, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of such application in any manner. No costs.
