ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c), 20 (b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.875 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. On earlier occasion, this Court had directed the respondent to file a report whether the contraband involved in this case is a commercial quantity or not.

3. The report has been received from the respondent stating that it is "in between quantity". Further, it is stated that the investigation has been completed and the final report has also been filed before the jurisdictional Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the investigation has been completed and the final report has been filed and it has been taken on file in C.C.No.4779 of 2020 on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

summons are yet be issued and thereby, the petition has become infructuous.

5. In view of the above that the investigation has been completed and the final report has been filed and it has been taken on file in C.C.No.4779 of 2020 on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, this petition has become infructuous.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
