Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta to the house of at natham S.F.No.18/3, Balamurugan Koil Street, Madhukarai Village, Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore by considering the petitioner representation dated 26.07.2012 and 09.04.2013. For Petitioner : Mr.Ma.P.Thangavel For Respondents : Mr.R.Govindasamy Spl.Govt.Pleader.

O R D E R

The petitioner claims to be in possession of a house site in S.No.18/3, Madhukarai Village, Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore Taluk and District measuring 1400 sq.ft.

2. According to the petitioner, the subject land is classified as "Natham" in the revenue records. Since the petitioner has been in possession of the said land for more than 30 years, he has made an application to the second respondent seeking issuance of patta. Though the petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondents to issue a patta in his name, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application is granted, In the light of G.O.Ms.No.97, Revenue Department, dated 27.03.2013, it would be suffice. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2012 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 27.03.2013 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents shall give due opportunity to the petitioner and any other persons, may be interested in the subject land. The petitioner is also directed to submit a copy of the representation dated 26.07.2012 along with the copy of this order.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
