This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider issue transfer of patta in petitioner's application dated 22.05.2018.

2.The petitioner's father was owning the lands measuring to an extent of 2025.27 sq.m. comprised in S.No.43/1 situated at Thuraimangalam Village, Perambalur Taluk, Permaballur District, by virtue of a registered Sale Deed dated 21.12.1970. From the date of purchase, the petitioner's family has been in absolute possession and peaceful enjoyment of the same by holding a valid patta till the said property was settled in favour of the petitioner by way of a Settlement Deed dated 19.07.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner has applied for transfer of patta in her name from her father's name for the purpose of mutation of revenue records through e-mail dated 22.05.2018. But till date, her representation has not been considered for transfer of patta. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent sought time to consider the representation of the petitioner.

4.The Sale Deed dated 21.12.1970 clearly shows that the lands measuring to an extent of 2025.27 sq.m. comprised in S.No.43/1 situated at Thuraimangalam Village, Perambalur Taluk, Permaballur District, was purchased by the petitioner's father and subsequently, settled the same in favour of the petitioner under a Settlement Deed dated 19.07.2017. The patta issued to the petitioner's father shows that the petitioner is entitled to get transfer of patta in her name. Therefore, this Court directs the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for transfer of patta on the basis of the patta issued to her father in Patta No.3953, Settlement Deed dated 19.07.2017 and the Sale Deed dated 21.12.1970 and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
