ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to enter petitioners' temporary service as Driver from 02.03.1991 to 13.03.1996 in his service Register. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that initially he was appointed as a Driver in Zone VI Corporation of Chennai through Employment Exchange on 02.03.1991. The appointment was made on a temporary basis. Thereafter, the petitioner was absorbed as Permanent Driver on 14.03.1996. The temporary service from 02.03.1991 to 13.03.1996, has not been entered in petitioners' Service Register. The petitioner in this regard had submitted a representation to the respondent on 03.06.2020, requesting the respondent to take appropriate action to enter the temporary service particulars in the Service Register. Since, no action has been taken by the respondent, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the temporary service of other drivers, who are similarly placed like that of petitioner, has been entered in the Service Register but the same has not been done in the case of petitioner, despite repeated representations. 5.

Mr.K.Aswini Devi, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for respondent and submits that if a period of two weeks time is granted, the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.

Considering the above submissions, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 03.06.2020 and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
