O R D E R

This Criminal Revision Case has been filed against the order passed in M.C.No.55 of 2023 on the file of the Family Judge at Salem dated

10.03.2025, thereby ordering monthly maintenance of Rs.7,500/- payable by the petitioner to the respondent.

The petitioner is the father of the respondent. On 09.03.2017, the petitioner married one, Pavithra and gave birth to the respondent herein on 16.07.2018. Thereafter, the husband and the wife got separated due to misunderstanding and the wife of the petitioner was driven out from the matrimonial house. Therefore, the wife of the petitioner did not able to maintain herself as well as the minor daughter. As such, the mother of the respondent filed petition for divorce in HMOP.No.52 of 2020 on the file of the aforementioned Court and the same was decreed in her favour. Thereafter, the minor daughter filed petition for monthly maintenance to the tune of Rs.20,000/-. After considering all the oral and documentary evidences, the trial court ordered monthly maintenance of Rs.7,500/- payable by the petitioner in favour of the respondent.

Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused, all the materials placed before this Court.

On perusal of records, it is revealed that the petitioner is a

qualified engineer and he is doing construction business. That apart, he owns four houses and receives reasonable money as rent. Therefore, the trial court rightly awarded monthly maintenance of Rs.7,500/- payable by the petitioner in favour of the respondent and it is only a meager amount. As such, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the impugned order and this criminal revision case is liable to be dismissed.
