Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the legal heirs of Late Venkatappa, namely shankar Narayanan and the petitioner name for properties comprised in S.No.193/4 to an extent of 1.52 acres situated at Kodiyalam Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and upload the patta in the official government website by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.04.2025. ORDER

By consent of both parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of the legal heirs of Late Venkatappa, namely Shankar Narayanan and Ramachandran, for properties comprised in S.No.193/4 to an extent of 1.52 acres situated at Kodiyalam Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and upload the patta in the official Government website by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.04.2025.

Mr.P.Ganesan, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, would submit that the petitioner has to take out an online application for his request for issuance of patta in the names of the legal heirs of Late Venkatapa to be considered, to which, Ms.Saba Fathima, the learned counsel for the petitioner, would submit that they may be granted liberty to take out an online application and that the same may be considered within a time frame that may be fixed by Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate would further submit Page No.2 of 5

that if the online application is taken out for transfer of patta, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after putting the petitioner and any other interested parties on notice, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of such application, if it is otherwise in order. The same is accepted to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, the present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
