Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in his Letter No.012/ SE/P&A/ ETPS/ Adm.II/ J.A.2/ F.RTI/ 2013 dated 17.05.2013 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent herein to forward the petitioner's name to the 1st respondent and further direct the 1st respondent to give retrospective promotion to the petitioner as Assistant Engineer (Civil) with effect from the date on which the petitioner's junior got promotion as Assistant Engineer (Civil) with all monetary and other attendant benefits. ORDER
When the matter was listed for hearing on 21.06.2022, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Thus, this Court passed an order, directing the Registry to list the matter on 23.06.2022 under the caption "For Dismissal". 2.When the matter was called on 27.06.2022, there was also no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In order to give one more opportunity, this Court passed an order,
directing the Registry to list this matter once again under the caption "For Dismissal" on 29.06.2022.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today i.e., on 29.06.2022, none appeared for the petitioner. Thus, it is evident that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the matter. Accordingly, the Writ Petition in W.P.No.18179 of 2014 stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
