ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.

The petitioner suffered an eviction order dated 06.04.2026 under Section 6 of Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. Challenging the same, the petitioner filed W.P. No. 15394 of 2026. Granting liberty to the petitioner to prefer an appeal under Section 10 of the said Act before the District Collector, the writ petition came to be dismissed by order dated 17.04.2026.

Subsequently, the petitioner preferred an appeal on 27.04.2026 before the District Magistrate/District Collector, Dharmapuri. A copy of the Appeal Memo has been enclosed in the typed set of papers and a copy of the acknowledgement has also been enclosed at Page No. 107 of the typed set of papers.

The Appellate Authority is hereby directed to dispose of the aforesaid appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

Till then, the eviction order shall not be enforced. 6.
